On Aug. 11, 2016, a group of residents and associates from Life Care Center of Leominster, Massachusetts, went blueberry picking.

Nine residents enjoyed a beautiful morning at the Ashburnham Hill Farm, where they picked the fruit and were able to keep what they harvested.

“I’ve never seen blueberries that big!” said resident Burton Lynde.

The group enjoyed a picnic lunch at the farm and stopped for vanilla ice cream on the bus ride back to the facility. One associate brought blueberry syrup to put over the sweet treat.
