Associates from Life Care Center of Leominster, Massachusetts, and The Highlands in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, were busy during the 2019 holiday season putting on luncheons for three local senior centers.
With the meals prepared by the facility dietary teams and leaders from both facilities serving the food, the events give associates a way to thank members of the senior centers for their trust and support as the facilities often care for their members and loved ones during the year.
“The holiday luncheons are always a lot of fun and highly attended by the community,” said MaryAnn Melanson, marketing director for both buildings. “It is a great way for our team to hear the positive feedback from the people we serve.”
The culinary season kicked off on Nov. 19, at the Ashburnham Senior Center. Peter Campbell, dietary director at Life Care Center of Leominster, prepared the meal.
“We are fortunate to have these two facilities who support and provide programs that meet the needs of our clients,” said Janet Robbins, Ashburnham Senior Center director.
On Nov. 21, the team brought a spread prepared by Campbell to the Westminster Senior Center.
“Our seniors look forward to seeing Life Care every year,” said Susan Fisher, director there. “They provide wonderful programs throughout the year, and we appreciate every one!”
Lastly, the team provided a luncheon for the Fitchburg Senior Center on Dec. 11. Anthony Cepeda, dietary director at The Highlands, prepared the meal.
“Thank you for your continued support of our local senior center,” said Joan Goodwin, Director of the Fitchburg Council on Aging.
